The Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology (BSBT) is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program that integrates principles of biology, chemistry, genetics, and molecular science to explore the application of biotechnology in healthcare, agriculture, industry, and environmental management.

The program combines strong theoretical foundations with extensive laboratory training, enabling students to develop practical skills in modern biotechnological techniques and research methodologies. Key areas of study include molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetic engineering, and bioinformatics.

Graduates of the BSBT program are prepared for career opportunities in biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, research laboratories, healthcare organizations, and environmental sectors, as well as for advanced studies and research in biotechnology and related life science disciplines.

All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics. Chemistry as a compulsory subject and either Mathematics or Biology as one of the additional subjects or Botany and Zology as two of the additional subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of a candidate belonging to a reserved category) from any board recognized or established by the Central/State Government through legislation and a member of the Council of School Education (COBSE).
