The Diploma in Electrical Engineering at CTIEMT is a rigorous three-year program designed to empower students with the expertise to navigate the complex world of power, electronics, and electromagnetism. As the backbone of modern infrastructure, electrical engineering plays a vital role in everything from renewable energy systems to global telecommunications and industrial automation.
Our curriculum is meticulously crafted to balance theoretical physics with practical electrical applications. Students gain hands-on experience in our advanced electrical machines and high-voltage laboratories, ensuring they are prepared to design, develop, and maintain the electrical systems that power our world.

Lateral Entry (LEET – 2 Years)

The Lateral Entry program offers a streamlined path for students to join the second year (3rd semester) of their diploma, reducing the total course duration to two years.

The program provides comprehensive technical training in:

Electrical Machines: In-depth study of motors, transformers, and generators.
Power Systems: Understanding the generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical energy.
Control Systems: Principles of automation and the regulation of electrical devices.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic qualifications required for admission

To ensure a high standard of technical excellence, candidates seeking admission to CTIEMT (Polytechnic Wing) must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10th Standard (Matriculation) or its equivalent from a recognized educational board.

Compulsory Subjects: Applicants must have successfully completed their matriculation with Mathematics and Science as core subjects.

Minimum Marks Requirement: A minimum of 35% aggregate in the 10th-grade examinations is required, in accordance with the Punjab State Board (PSBTE & IT) norms.

Reserved Category Relaxation: Relaxation in minimum aggregate marks is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) as per the prevailing Government of Punjab and Board regulations.

Eligibility Criteria for Lateral Entry

Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) with Science and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.
