The Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) – Teacher Education is a specialized one-year professional program offered by M.K. College of Education, affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar. The program is designed to empower educators with advanced knowledge and practical skills in computer applications, emphasizing their effective integration into teaching and learning processes.

Exhibit skills for a continuous and lifelong learning.
Understand and dispatch his Professional and Ethical responsibilities towards self and society at large.

On successful completion, students will be able to:

Train graduate students in basic computer technology concepts and information technology applications.
Enhance their career opportunities in the software development sector in the state.
Develop confidence in handling information applications.
Enable students to decide in choosing the options available if the students wishes to go for further studies
Expose the students to Open Source technologies so that they become familiar with it and can seek appropriate opportunity in trade and industry.
Develop real life IT application as part of the study.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic qualifications required for admission

Pass with 45% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
There will be relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC categories
The reservation will be applicable as per Punjab Govt. Policy
