The Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is a 6-year professional doctoral programme that prepares students for patient-centered pharmacy practice and clinical healthcare services. The programme includes 5 years of academic study followed by 1 year of compulsory internship/residency in a recognized hospital. It provides in-depth knowledge of pharmacotherapeutics, clinical pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, clinical research, pharmacovigilance, and medication therapy management. Students receive extensive clinical training to work as integral members of multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The programme is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
