In a concerted effort to address the pressing issue of drug abuse, CT Group, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), organized a State Level Awareness Seminar.The seminar, held under the directives of Honorable Mr. Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia, Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh, attracted over 500 students from various regional universities.The event, themed "Legal Services to the Victims of Drug Abuse and Eradication of Drug Menace (NALSA)," aimed to provide comprehensive information on legal services available for those affected by drug abuse. The Law Department of CT Group played a pivotal role in organizing the seminar, which saw participation from students not only within CT Group but also from distinguished regional universities such as DAV University, Jalandhar, GNDU Regional Campus, Ladewali, Jalandhar, and Sant Baba Bagh Singh University, Jalandhar, among others.The Chief Guest for the occasion was Sh. Manjinder Singh, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Member Secretary of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Mohali. Guests of Honor included Sh. Baljinder Singh Maan, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Jalandhar, Ms. Amandeep Kaur Chahal, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Kapurthala, Adv. Mandeep Singh Sachdev from the Supreme Court of India, Punjab and Haryana High Court, and Adv. Aditya Jain, President of the District Bar Association, along with other prominent figures from the legal fraternity.Sh. Manjinder Singh, in his address as the chief guest, shed light on the legal services available to victims of drug abuse and provided valuable insights into the functioning of DLSA in combating the drug menace. He emphasized the importance of staying actively conscious of choices and reassured attendees of DLSA's 24/7 assistance.Sh. Baljinder Singh Maan, Secretary of DLSA Jalandhar, delivered a poignant message, emphasizing the power of creating genuine happiness through meaningful pursuits. In his insightful remarks, he encouraged the audience to "cultivate joy, engage in hobbies, and refrain from seeking happiness in artificial sources."
