1,300+ sq. ft. LED spectacle, powerful performances and breathtaking sound-and-light production create an unforgettable theatrical experience

CT Group of Institutions successfully concluded four spectacular shows of the acclaimed theatrical production ‘Humare Ram’ at the Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium, Shahpur Campus, on August 28 and 29. With two shows each day, the monumental production captivated audiences from across Jalandhar and beyond, transforming the auditorium into a spectacular world where mythology, technology and live performance came together in an unforgettable theatrical experience.

The production, presented by the Punjab Government as part of its efforts to take the message and philosophy of Lord Shri Ram to every household and strengthen the values of Sanatan Dharma, brought the timeless epic of Ramayana to life on an extraordinary scale.

Across all four performances, the packed auditorium witnessed a breathtaking visual spectacle featuring a massive LED screen spanning more than 1,300 square feet. From the majestic Raj Darbar of Lord Shri Ram and the forests of exile to the powerful Lanka sequences and the deeply moving moment of Mata Sita returning to her mother Dharti, every scene unfolded with remarkable visual depth and grandeur, immersing the audience in the world of the Ramayana.

The elaborate sound-and-light production was another defining highlight of the show. A specialised technical team travelled from Gujarat and spent three days preparing and meticulously synchronising the stage, visuals, lighting and sound, ensuring a seamless theatrical experience that went far beyond conventional theatre.

At the heart of the production was celebrated actor Ashutosh Rana, whose commanding portrayal of Ravan left the audience mesmerised. His powerful voice, intense expressions and extraordinary stage presence brought immense depth and gravitas to the character. Rahull R Bhuchar as Prabhu Shree Ram, Danish Akhtar as Lord Hanuman, Tarun Khanna as Lord Shiva, Amrita Parihar as Mata Sita and Karan Sharma as Surya Deva further enriched the stellar ensemble with their powerful performances.

The production was complemented by an evocative original soundtrack featuring contributions from celebrated artists including Ashutosh Rana, Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam and Kailash Kher, adding another layer of emotion and grandeur to the larger-than-life presentation.

‘Humare Ram’ has already captivated audiences across India, completing more than 200 performances in over 20 cities and reaching an audience of more than five lakh people. The production has also been staged at prestigious venues including the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Siri Fort Auditorium, Kamani Auditorium, Jamshed Bhabha Theatre and NCPA.

Following its successful presentations in Mohali and Bathinda, the Jalandhar chapter at CT Group emerged as a memorable theatrical celebration, with all four shows receiving an overwhelming response from audiences.

The distinguished guests who witnessed the spectacular production included Chief Secretary of Punjab K. A. P. Sinha, Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar Varjeet Walia, Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar Satinder Singh and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Jalandhar Range, Naveen Singla, along with other prominent personalities.

Sinha appreciated the grandeur and scale of the production and said that ‘Humare Ram’ was a remarkable effort to present the timeless teachings and values of Lord Shri Ram to contemporary audiences through an engaging and immersive medium. He appreciated the powerful blend of technology, theatre and storytelling that enabled audiences, especially the younger generation, to connect with the epic in a meaningful way.

For thousands of audience members who witnessed the performances at CT Shahpur, it was an immersive journey where the stage became Ayodhya, technology brought mythology alive and the timeless story of Lord Shri Ram unfolded before their eyes with unprecedented grandeur.

‘Humare Ram’ did not simply narrate the Ramayana—it made the audience experience it.
