Educational Visit to Pushpa Gujral Science City
17 Feb 2026

Institute : CT Institute of Law

The CT Institute of Law organized an educational visit to Pushpa Gujral Science City in fulfilment of the UGC Compulsory Environmental Studies (EVS) curriculum. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to environmental conservation, sustainable resource management, and scientific innovation beyond classroom learning.

The program commenced with an expert briefing on the facility’s Integrated Water Management System, where students learned about the circular water economy and the concept of “Virtual Water.” The striking revelation that producing a single pair of denim jeans consumes over 5,000 litres of water left a lasting impression, highlighting the urgent need for ecological regulations in industrial practices.
Students were then engaged in a series of immersive educational experiences. The Environmental Cinema showcased the beauty of marine ecosystems and the threats posed by pollution. The Nature Simulation provided a powerful encounter with atmospheric forces, while the Flight Simulator offered a hands-on understanding of aviation physics.

The tour of the galleries further enriched the experience. Exhibits on Space Exploration, including detailed models of the Chandrayaan mission, reflected India’s progress in space science. Interactive displays such as the Anti-Gravity Cone and Einstein exhibits made complex scientific principles accessible and engaging.

The visit concluded with reflections on the importance of bridging textbook theory with real-world challenges. Students recognized that as future legal professionals, understanding the science behind sustainability and resource depletion is essential for effective practice in Environmental Law.
